A typical flight crew includes a Captain and a Co-Captain. Both pilots will have had thousands of flight hours of experience. On longer flights in larger aircraft, such as Gulfstream jets, we may include a third relief pilot and a flight attendant to ensure the comfort and safety of additional passengers.
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. During this critical time, we understand your need to remain near your loved ones. It’s our job to take care of you in the best possible manner available. On smaller aircraft, we normally have room for one or two additional passengers. Of course, larger aircraft allow for even more additional travelers.Under rare and certain circumstances, where having additional people on board could jeopardize the patient’s condition, we require the patient fly alone.
Patient care remains our first priority. Due to the amount of specialized medical equipment that we carry on the aircraft, space is limited. Typically, we allow one or two airline carry-on suitcases. We will make arrangements for the delivery of any additional luggage that the aircraft cannot accommodate.
Yes. Most flights have snack onboard the aircraft. On longer flights, we will serve catered meals during flight that meet the dietary requirements of patients and passengers. We are happy to accommodate special dietary requests. Just let us know in advance of the flight, so we can arrange for your needs.
At Mercy Jets, we take pride in putting the health and safety of our clients and patients first. We keep in close contact with your family and physicians throughout the transport process. This keeps loved ones, case managers, and doctors connected each step of the way.
